The really interesting thing about what I do is that every bag I make is a surprise. No two bags are the same – each has its own personality and history. Every style eventually finds an owner who loves and cherishes it, but sometimes it takes time to make the match. The bag above is the Ashbury in a range of mixed browns. Aside from shape, it is nothing like the other multi-brown Ashbury shown in my shop and I don’t know that I could ever replicate that. I believe a customer has to be very open and trusting and appreciative of the fact that their bag will be like none other to be comfortable with ordering it, sight unseen. I realize that is a lot to ask of someone and I’m thinking I may need to go back to photographing every bag I make and selling the exact bag photographed. Is that what you would prefer? I would love to hear thoughts on this…
